INAUGURAL ROBERT MCINTOSH SHOW ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD

The Inaugural Robert McIntosh Show Encouragement Award has been presented at the 2016 Geyserland Conference in Rotorua to Robyn Gordon - see Special Awards in News Items
Robert McIntosh – Show Encouragement Award
To encourage an exhibitor to go further and/or to continue showing animals at Local Club days and A&P shows.
First or second season of exhibiting animals – would have shown at least three A&P shows and/or Club days during that period. This person can even be a member of a family who has been exhibiting for years.
Competing in their local handling classes, if in the age group.
Has been showing for 3 to 5 years and during each show season can see the growth in preparing and presenting the animals at the A&P shows / Club Days.
Has been attending local club or national organized events about exhibiting animals (about choosing, preparing and exhibiting an animal) or visits other members seeking advice and knowledge on exhibiting animals.
Has been showing for some years and has been awarded their first Champion ribbon.
For exhibitor’s who have been exhibiting for some time, who are stepping up in the following:
Attending local club and /or national Judging schools
Completing in the Youth Judging Competition
Being a committee member of an A&P show – working behind the scenes
In the process of becoming a Senior Judge or is a Senior Judge
Showing and teaching other exhibitors now to choose, prepare and exhibit animals
The winner can be any age. For members up to 16 years old, they would need to have at least 3 of the first 5 above and for members over 16 years old would need at least 4 of the 6 above.
