Complete dispersal sale of Ayrshire herd

A record top-selling cow sold at the recent Premier Cattle Company complete dispersal sale. The sale was held last week at the property of Derek and Catherine Hayward’s in Cambridge, on farm and online through Bidr.

Lot 63 – Premier Amarula A Sharon A9-9 sold for $31,000 and is the highest priced cow of any breed sold in 2024. The Hayward’s were extremely proud to offer up the three year old, describing her as the type they have bred for; modern dairy frame, big volume and an udder to last a lifetime.

The total average of all Ayrshires was $5,138 for 64 lots. The average for cows sold was $5,934 for 42 lots. A total of 11 yearlings sold for an average of $3,768 and a total of 11 calves sold for an average of $3,468.
