The New Zealand Ayrshire Association (Inc), known as Ayrshire New Zealand, is an Incorporated Society representing approx 380 Ayrshire breeders in New Zealand.

Our Services

Semayr

Semayr Breeding Services is a division of Ayrshire New Zealand, which offers top Ayrshire bulls, both proven and unproven, New Zealand and overseas to New Zealand farmers.

Registrations

At the end of October each year, Ayrshire New Zealand publishes the annual Herd Book, with details of all animals registered as pedigrees in the preceding 12-month period to August 31st.

TOP Classifications

TOP Classification recognises that progress towards the improvement of the Ayrshire breed should be obtained through animals superior in conformation as well as production.

Local Clubs

Ayrshire Clubs are local interest groups that hold meetings, herd visits, local competitions and social activities. Details of all new members are forwarded to the appropriate club and all members are encouraged to take part in Club activities. A full list of all Clubs and their Officers are printed in the Herd Book annually and is also available on each Club page below.

On Farm Challenge

Held annually, members of Ayrshire New Zealand have the chance to enter our On Farm Competition. Judges individually judge the animals in their home paddock. Results are then presented at the Annual Conference.
