Thames Valley Club Notice
Hi Thames Valley Club Members
On 26th March a few of the Thames Valley Members along with some Waikato and Bay of Plenty members, 26 of us in all, visited the Baxter Family in Tirau to see their cows. They along with most of us were having to deal with the dry conditions, but the cows looked well and were extremely quiet and seemed to enjoy having us all there looking at them.
We also saw the lovely Burs Gem, this seasons N.I. Champion Cow.
At lunch Vince Steiner our NZ President gave us a run down of some Association happenings and a brief talk about the Southland Otago Conference trip.
Mark Coop introduced himself as he is standing for the Board which means an election for our area as Graeme Leech is standing again also.
After leaving the Baxters a car load of us visited John and Tracy Leech to see the nucleus of Ayrshires among their crossbred herd. There were some nice cows there to build on, all the best to them and their family.
Thank you to the Baxters and Leechs a most enjoyable day.
Our next visit will be on Wednesday 14th May 2025 at Tony and Angela Torrens home
12 Vogel Place, Te Aroha.
Vogel Place is off Stanley Ave
As Tony’s health is not so good we thought we would visit him and Angela for morning tea and then go to a cafe in Te Aroha for lunch.
All welcome.
