Somatic Cell Count Competition
How does your Somatic Cell Count stack up against your peers? Ayrshires have the most favourable Somatic Cell Count average. This competition is open to all members with at least 25 registered Ayrshire cows in their herd, and is calculated from the registered Ayrshire portion of the herd. Prizes, sponsored by DairyCare NZ, are awarded in each ward, plus an overall winner.
This competition runs once a year, with entries to be submitted by 1st of May, and prizes presented at the Annual Conference.
