This sale demonstrated just how much work Wally, Zane, and the Kite family have put into their breeding. A huge congratulations and thank you goes out to the Kite family for the amazing representation you all have within and outside the Ayrshire breed.
Thank you to Vince Steiner for opening on behalf of Ayrshire New Zealand, followed by Peter Mellow.
42 lots averaged $2597, with 10 yearling heifers averaging $3,090, 27 calves averaging $2,150 and three bull calves averaging $3,900.
Top price was for Lot 1, the pick of the in-milk two year olds.  This went to Helen Phillips of Okato for $7,600.
Top price yearling heifer was Kiteroa LE Spark sired by Rosemoor Spark ET and out of  Mellora Lynda ET, V6-7, selling for $6,500 to Odette Doherty, Four Oaks Farm, Greytown.

Odette also purchased to top price calf for $4,200, Kiteroa Bonny Go-Pro sired by Kiteroa Cream Priority ET out of Kiteroa Bonny G-Girl, V7-7. (photo below to left)

Top price bull calf was Kiteroa Bonny Starlipse, selling for $5200 to Kapukapu Ltd (Sand family), Rotorua.  Starlipse is sired by Kiteroa Eclipse ET.

The final lot of the day was on behalf of Michael Terpstra. All proceeds from this bull will be going to a charity supporting mental health. Lot 43 was a bull calf sired by Sanrosa Dalton ET out of Southwind HF Qantas ET.  He was purchased for $3,100 by Helen Phillips, Okato.
